American synchronized diving duo Abby Johnston and Kelci Bryant showed up huge yesterday, winning silver in the 3-M Springboard. It was the first synchronized diving medal since it became an Olympic sport in 2000.
The pair scored a 72.0 on their last dive, a back 2 1/2 somersault, marking their second highest score of the day. The dive was enough to stave off Jenifer Abel and Emilie Heymans of Canada.
