Prince Fielder put on quite a show last night, claiming his second career Home Run Derby. The Detroit first baseman joined Ken Griffey Jr. as the only players to win multiple Home Run Derby titles.
Fielder’s power was on display all night, as he drove in 28 home runs over the first three rounds. He hit the top four drives of the night, including a couple of 476 foot bombs.
The commentators marveled at Fielder’s mechanics, and the amount of power his swing produces. As replays show, you really have to slow Fielder’s swing down quite a bit in order to appreciate it fully.
