Before last night, a few questions still lingered in regard to Peyton Manning’s return to prominence. The future Hall of Fame quarterback sternly laid those questions to rest in the second half of Monday night’s game, leading the Broncos to a 35-24 comeback win in San Diego.
After falling behind 24-0 at halftime, Manning led the Broncos to 35 unanswered points and a crucial conference win. Things began to unravel for San Diego in the third quarter, when Manning connected with Demaryius Thomas on a 29 yard post route.
The play action throw was vintage Manning, as he looked off the safety to free up the streaking Thomas.
